About Roger Ross
Roger Ross grew up on Lauriston Street in the Wissahickon section of 19128. He attended St. Mary of the Assumption in Manayunk for grade school and Roman Catholic High School at Broad and Vine. After four years in Worcester, Massachusetts, he received a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross.
When he came back to Philadelphia, his high-school rowing coach asked him to take over the crew program at Roman. While coaching on the Schuylkill, Roger became the unofficial plumber of historic Boathouse Row and created Roger Ross Plumbing & Heating. He learned plumbing under his older brother and master plumber, William, from a young age. He lives on Green Lane in Roxborough, in a historic home he saved from demolition.
